In the town of Thirumalaisamudram in Tamil Nadu, SASTRA Deemed University also known as the Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy is a renowned higher education facility. The Government of India founded the Shanmugha Arts Science Technology & Research Academy in 1984, and in 2001, it granted it deemed university status pursuant to Section 3 of the UGC Act.
