NIT Warangal Overview
The Regional Engineering College was renamed the National Institute of Technology, Warangal (Deemed University) in 1959. On October 10, 1959, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone for this institute, the first in a chain of 30 NITs (formerly known as RECs) in the country. The Institute is well-known for its dedicated faculty and staff, as well as its cutting-edge infrastructure that fosters a healthy academic environment. The Institute is constantly striving for greater technical excellence. Our concerns are developing a socially relevant and yet internationally acceptable curriculum, implementing innovative and effective teaching methodologies, and focusing on the holistic development of students. Many developmental activities have been carried out in the past thanks to UNESCO and UK assistance.
