NIT Meghalaya Overview
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is one of the thirty-one NITs in India established as Institutes of National Importance under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India, with full funding support from the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), Government of India. As this institute is sprawling around 300 acres in Meghalaya, the infrastructure is an eye-catching one. The institute was set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development by the NIT Act in 2010.
