The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh is one of the prominent institutes for engineering and technology. It is established in 2010 as the center of excellence in technical education to withstand the need for technological professionals in India. These 10 new NIT has approved by the Union Cabinet. One of the new NIT being supervised by NIT, Durgapur is NIT, Arunachal Pradesh. In 2002, MHRD Minster Murli Manohar Joshi decided to upgrade RECs to the ‘National Institute of Technology (NIT). NIT is managed and funded by the central government. All REC were converted to NIT in 2003. The campus area is around 301 in NIT Arunachal Pradesh. The institute currently runs out of its permanent campus in the Arunachal Pradesh district of Jote, Papum Pare.
