IIT Palakkad Overview
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad was established in 2015 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The institute is an institute of national importance for higher education in engineering, science, and technology IIT Palakkad is spread over a campus size of 500 acres. IIT Palakkad, often known as IIT PKD, is a public autonomous engineering and research institute in the Keralan town of Palakkad. IIT Palakkad was founded in 2015 by the Government of India as an institute of national importance after being proposed in the 2014 Union budget of India alongside five others new IITs. In August 2015, the institute began operating out of a temporary location at the Ahalia Integrated Campus in Palakkad. On the Nila Campus, often known as the transit campus, academic activities started in February 2019. IIT Palakkad offers a wide range of facilities and infrastructure to its students. The institute also offers scholarships and placements to all its students.
