Chandigarh University (CU) is a private university located in Mohali, Punjab, India. The university was established on July 10, 2012 by an act of the Punjab State Legislature. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) with the right to confer degrees as per Section 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. Chandigarh University has been accredited with an ‘A+’ by NAAC in 2019.
The campus is spread over 250 acres of land. In the QS Asia Ranking 2022, CUCHD has been placed in the top 1.7% of universities in Asia.
The engineering programmes of Chandigarh University have been approved by the AICTE, whereas the law programmes have been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
The pharmacy, architecture, education, and physical education programmes offered by CU have been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, Council of Architecture, and National Council for Teacher Education, respectively.
