NIT Srinagar Overview
National Institute of technology is a public technical university in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, India. It is one of the 31 national institutes of technology and thus directly under the minister of education’s control. It was established in 1960 as one of the several regional engineering colleges established as part of the government of India’s second plan. The national institute of technology act 2007 governs it, and the institute regarded the national importance of the National Institute of technology. It is one of the institutes that constitute the National Institute of technology system, a collection of technical institutes governed by NITSRI. National Institute of Technology Srinagar is one of India’s leading institutes of technology and engineering. The institute is ranked 69th among India’s best engineering institutes.
