The Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, also known as NIT Jalandhar, is a university that was founded in 1987. At first, it was known as the “Regional Engineering College,” but in 2002, the Indian government deemed it to be a “National Institute of Technology.” In 2007, the Indian Parliament and the Indian Government designated the institution as an “Institute of National Importance.” It offers top-notch technical education in a number of engineering and science fields.
